Education
- CWIT runs educational programs in six slum community centres: Saibaba Nagar and Sambhaji Nagar in Rabale: and at Mahatama Gandhi Nagar Quarry, D.R Patil Quarry, Riconda Bonsari Quarry, and Ramesh Metal Quarry all in the Turbhe locality of Navi Mumbai.
- CWIT conducts Balwadi (Kindergarten) classes, study classes for children in Standards 1 to VII and special classes for Standards VIII to IX in English, Math, and Science.
- CWIT holds conversational English classes for children in the quarry community centres. These classes have enhanced their confidence and fluency in speaking English.
- CWIT also conducts classes in basic computer skills, tailoring, and beauty care.
- Science and history exhibitions are held periodically.
- Football coaching takes place under experienced football coaches whereby our girls are participating in state and national tournaments and in semi-professional teams.
- Mr Nandkumar, our highly experienced chess coach, conducts completely free chess coaching which is hugely popular. Our students frequently win awards in state and national level chess tournaments. Four of our students were awarded FIDE certification.
- Children are sensitized to the environment through training in gardening and workshops focusing on ocean conservation and the importance of environmental sustainability.
- Summer camps are regularly conducted in yoga, art and craft, Zumba dance, drawing, painting, storytelling, personality development, and life skills.
